Four Seasons Telluride: Elevating Mountain Living for The One Percent

Set amid the snow-draped peaks of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, Four Seasons Telluride is poised to redefine alpine sophistication. The forthcoming property — a striking blend of architecture, artistry, and adventure is being developed as a haven for those who seek the rare balance between wilderness and refined living. Designed for the 1%, it will embody the essence of modern luxury hotels: immersive, discreet, and deeply connected to nature.

A New Architectural Landmark

Olson Kundig, the Seattle-based architectural firm celebrated for its sculptural approach to landscape and light, leads the project’s architectural vision and the interiors of its private residences. Clements Design, known for its serene minimalism and high-touch craftsmanship, curates the interiors of the shared hotel spaces, blending natural textures with contemporary elegance.

A palette of stacked stone, weathered wood, and brushed metal pays homage to Telluride’s alpine vernacular, while an intricate network of walking paths, pedestrian bridges, and open-air plazas transforms the resort into a year-round retreat. Every element is designed to celebrate the surrounding mountain panorama from Mount Wilson to Palmyra Peak and to immerse residents in the landscape rather than separate them from it.

A Refined Collection of Residences

The development will encompass 26 private residences and 43 hotel residences, alongside 52 luxury hotel keys. Residences range from two to five bedrooms, with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and seamless transitions to panoramic terraces. Select penthouses feature private outdoor spas, alpine fireplaces, and uninterrupted mountain views that capture the serenity of high-altitude living.

Private residences, spanning 2,000 to 6,400 square feet, are delivered unfurnished — an invitation for owners to tailor each space to their individual vision of elegance. Hotel residences, from 821 to 5,500 square feet, arrive fully furnished, offering the effortless luxury of turnkey mountain living.

Residents and guests will enjoy direct ski-in/ski-out access, a private fitness and recovery center, and a spa designed for holistic rejuvenation. Additional amenities include an indoor lap pool, outdoor hot tubs, a residents’ club, and ski valet services — all curated with the meticulous attention to detail that defines the Four Seasons brand.

Redefining Mountain Hospitality for the 1%

For the global elite, mountain living has evolved beyond seasonal retreats into full-scale expressions of identity and wellness. According to the 2025 Knight Frank Wealth Report, more than 70% of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) now consider well-being a central part of their lifestyle investment strategy, while the luxury hotel branded residence market continues to surge, expected to exceed $35 billion in global sales by 2026.

Telluride, known for its cinematic beauty and world-class skiing, has become one of the most desirable alpine destinations in North America. The introduction of Four Seasons Telluride solidifies its position among global icons such as Aspen and Courchevel, attracting a new generation of UHNWI investors seeking both privacy and permanence in their travels.

The Future of Elevated Living

Beyond the architecture and design, Four Seasons Telluride represents a new era in the evolution of luxury hotels — where the experience of place is intertwined with artistry, sustainability, and personalized service. With in-home oxygenation systems designed to ease high-altitude living, seamless technology integration, and private wellness sanctuaries, every detail speaks to the future of hospitality for the world’s most discerning travelers.

For those who define luxury not by excess but by depth, Four Seasons Telluride offers a rare proposition: a mountain retreat that feels both intimate and infinite, a refuge crafted for the few who understand that true wealth lies in time, nature, and quiet perfection.
