Rosewood Reimagined: Discovery as the New Luxury

In an age where travelers seek meaning as much as indulgence, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is redefining what it means to experience the world’s finest destinations. The brand, long synonymous with refined elegance, has unveiled a transformative new identity centered on a single, timeless principle: discovery.

This evolution represents more than a design refresh—it is a philosophical shift that positions Rosewood at the forefront of a new era in luxury hotels, where storytelling, culture, and emotional connection shape the modern journey.

The Art of Discovery

At the heart of Rosewood’s rebrand is the debut of Discovery Green, a distinctive hue inspired by the landscapes surrounding the group’s 41 properties worldwide—from the lush tropics of Mandarina to the architectural grace of Paris and the timeless charm of London. The new visual identity, coupled with an editorial-style digital platform, invites travelers to immerse themselves in the brand’s destinations through storytelling, curated experiences, and design-led journeys.

“Our new era places discovery at the heart of everything we do,” said Sonia Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotel Group. “It’s an invitation for guests to be touched by experiences that are both profound and personal.”

The new website embodies this philosophy, functioning as a gateway for guests to explore each destination before they arrive, offering insights into art, gastronomy, and culture through immersive editorial content.

Redefining the Modern Luxury Traveler

For the 1%, travel is not merely an escape—it is a pursuit of enrichment. According to the Knight Frank Wealth Report 2025, more than 68% of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) now prefer experiences that blend luxury with cultural depth, sustainability, and personal growth. Rosewood’s reimagined approach aligns perfectly with this sentiment, transforming traditional hospitality into a living expression of place and purpose.

Each new Rosewood property is conceived as a unique journey rooted in its environment. At Rosewood Miyakojima in Japan, guests can join marine conservationists to learn about coral preservation and the island’s fishing heritage. At Rosewood Mandarina in Mexico, ancient healing traditions meet holistic wellness at the Asaya Spa. In Amsterdam, curated art tours grant guests access to over a thousand private artworks, each narrating the city’s layered history through contemporary eyes.

These offerings reflect Rosewood’s ambition to blur the boundaries between hospitality, culture, and artistry—a concept increasingly favored by UHNW travelers who prioritize meaning and mindfulness in their global explorations.

A Vision for the Future

Rosewood’s expansion continues with purpose. Upcoming openings include Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, the brand’s first mountain resort featuring an art installation by Olafur Eliasson; Rosewood Calistoga, set amidst Napa Valley’s rolling vineyards; and Rosewood Seoul, where contemporary Korean design meets the serenity of Yongsan Park.

The brand’s bold growth extends further with Rosewood Dubai and Rosewood Residences Dubai, joining an elite list of new destinations such as Crete and Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island. Each property captures the brand’s mission to balance heritage with innovation, luxury with authenticity.

This expansion coincides with record momentum in the global luxury hotel market, which is projected to reach $146 billion by 2030, driven by the growing number of UHNWIs seeking private, experience-led stays that go beyond conventional definitions of indulgence.

A New Chapter in Luxury Hospitality

Rosewood’s new brand direction mirrors the evolution of luxury itself. Once defined by grandeur, it is now characterized by depth, intimacy, and intention. The color, textures, and tone of “Discovery Green” symbolize this shift—a world where elegance coexists with exploration and where every journey is a story waiting to unfold.

As Rosewood steps confidently into this new chapter, it does so not by chasing trends, but by setting a new standard: one where luxury hotels become living narratives, celebrating culture, curiosity, and connection in equal measure.
