Tecnomarine Returns with a New Generation of Luxury Yachts

One of Italy’s historic yacht builders is making a remarkable return to the global stage. Nearly three decades after ceasing operations, Tecnomarine has officially relaunched with an ambitious collection of five aluminium luxury yacht models, combining the shipyard’s celebrated heritage with a contemporary vision for bespoke superyacht construction.

Led by entrepreneur Massimiliano Zilioli, the reborn Italian brand aims to establish itself among the world’s leading builders of custom aluminium luxury yachts, with its first designs scheduled to make their international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Reviving an Icon of Italian Luxury Yacht Building

Founded in Viareggio in 1972, Tecnomarine became known for producing beautifully engineered aluminium yachts that blended Italian craftsmanship with innovative naval architecture.

Over the following decades, the shipyard delivered more than 300 yachts before industry changes eventually brought the brand to a close.

Today, Tecnomarine begins a new chapter with production based in Pisa’s renowned Navicelli Canal, one of Italy’s most respected maritime districts. The modern facility combines advanced construction technologies with the craftsmanship that has defined Italian luxury yacht building for generations.

The relaunch represents both a celebration of the brand’s legacy and a commitment to shaping the future of bespoke yacht construction.

Five New Luxury Yacht Models

The new Tecnomarine collection introduces five aluminium models designed to meet the expectations of today’s discerning yacht owners.

The range includes the TM33, TM40, TM41, TM45, and flagship TM90, spanning approximately 25 to 50 metres.

Every yacht will be fully customised around each owner’s vision, allowing layouts, finishes, exterior styling, and onboard experiences to reflect individual lifestyles rather than standardized configurations.

By maintaining aluminium construction across the entire collection, Tecnomarine continues the expertise that originally established its international reputation.

Contemporary Design Meets Long Range Performance

The first two models, the TM33 and TM40, have been developed in collaboration with Michele Dragoni and Dragoni Designlab.

The TM33 presents a contemporary interpretation of the fast cruiser, featuring sleek aerodynamic lines, generous interior volumes, and expansive outdoor living spaces that maximise life at sea.

The larger TM40 has been conceived as a sophisticated long range cruiser. Its lightweight aluminium displacement hull has been designed to enhance cruising efficiency while maintaining elegant proportions.

Large mirrored glass surfaces strengthen the connection between interior living areas and the surrounding ocean, creating a seamless relationship between architecture and nature.

Built Around Personalisation

The philosophy behind the new Tecnomarine collection extends beyond design and engineering.

Each luxury yacht will be developed through a highly personalised approach that allows owners to influence every aspect of their yacht, from accommodation layouts and entertainment spaces to materials, finishes, and onboard functionality.

This bespoke process reflects the growing demand among Ultra High Net Worth Individuals for yachts that express personal identity while delivering exceptional comfort and performance.

Looking Ahead to Monaco

Tecnomarine will officially present the TM33, TM40, and the wider collection during the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the industry’s most prestigious global events.

The relaunch signals the return of an iconic Italian name while introducing a fresh generation of aluminium luxury yachts designed for international owners seeking craftsmanship, innovation, and individuality.

As demand for highly customised superyachts continues to grow, Tecnomarine’s renewed focus on bespoke construction positions the brand for an exciting future within the world’s luxury yacht market.

The One Percent Perspective

For The 1%, a luxury yacht represents timeless craftsmanship, innovation, and the freedom to create something entirely personal. Tecnomarine’s return reflects these values by combining a rich Italian heritage with modern engineering and bespoke design.

With five new aluminium models and a clear commitment to personalised yacht building, Tecnomarine is once again ready to leave its mark on the global luxury yacht industry while opening a new chapter for one of Italy’s most respected shipyards.
